Spring Season

The Spring Season is FALL's main baseball program.  The typical timeline of the season is as follows:

  • November - Registration opens

  • Mid-Late December - Manager Selection.

    • Upper Divisions must be finalized prior to Player Evaluations.

    • As needed, Lower Divisions may continue seeking and approving managers up until the Division Drafts.
  • Early-Mid January - Upper Division Player Evaluations.
  • Late January - Division Drafts. Typically begin the week after the last player evaluation date.
  • Early February - Teams Announced.

    • Blacktop only practices after team announcements.
  • March 1st - Fields open and practices begin for all divisions.
  • Mid March - Spring Regular Season games begin.

  • Mid-Late May - End of Season Tournament (EOST) for Upper Divisions. Final games for lower divisions.

    • Most seasons, the EOST Championship and final game for lower divisions will be on a Saturday prior to Memorial Day Weekend and the end of the school year.
  • Early June  - District 54 Tournament of Champions (TOC) for Juniors, 50/70, Majors, and AAA Divisions
  • June through August - Little League All Stars

    • Practices start early June.

    • Tournament games begin mid-late June. The District tournament typically ends around July 4th. Winners continue on through the Summer, ending with the Little League World Series in mid-late August.

Fall Season

Fall Ball (sometimes termed "Winter Ball") is a great opportunity to build on the accomplishments of the spring season.  The main focus is player development, allowing players some additional practice and game experience to hone their skills going into next season.

The number of teams and games depends on the number of players that register and the number of managers and coaches that volunteer. Due to the smaller number of teams, teams typically play interleague games against other District 54 leagues.

  • July - Registration opens

  • Early August - Tryouts and All Division Drafts

  • Mid August - Practice begins

  • September through October - Fall Season Games

Season Schedule

The official Spring season schedule begins on March 1. Prior to March 1, many managers will schedule unofficial practices to get the team ready. These are not league sanctioned and are at the discretion of the manager.

The Fall season will start in late August, as soon as possible after Player Evaluations and team drafts.

The regular season schedule typically consists of four (4) activities per week; two (2) games and two (2) practices.

  • Midweek game. Typically on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The exact day is not fixed and varies each week.

    • Major Division may have two (2) games Monday through Thursday. Often due to rescheduled rainouts so that all games are played, if possible. Some season will have two regularly scheduled midweek games based on the minimum number of games needed for the season and the number of weeks available for the regular season.
  • Midweek practice. Scheduled around the games. The exact day is not fixed and will vary each week based on field availability around the games and are often on Monday or Friday.

  • Saturday game. Exact time will vary each week.

    • The earliest game typically starts at 9:00 AM and the latest game at 6:00 PM. Based on the number of teams, field availability, and other circumstances, the earliest game may be 8:00 AM and the latest may be 7:00 PM.
  • Sunday practice. Exact time will vary each week.

    • At the discretion of the team managers, lower divisions sometimes eliminate the Sunday practice to avoid too many days in a row when there is also a Friday or Monday practice.

Prior to the start of games, the game spots may be replaced with an extra practice to prepare for the season.

Game Information
