Need to know registration changes for the 2023 season

As the 2022 fall season has come to a close, we are now looking forward to Spring 2023. Below are details that you will need to know going into next spring.
Mac 1 field renovation- Folsom American Little League is partnering with the city to have the infield rebuilt at MacFarland 1 this off season. The renovations will happen sometime in December. We are asking the community to stay off the field until the city reopens the fields in March. This will allow the grass to set and be ready to go mid-March. This is a huge investment that FALL is proud to make in the interest of providing the best experience for our players. We will also have a field training day in the spring for managers and field crews to help keep the FALL fields premier fields for years to come.
There will also be field maintenance that will happen on all our other fields throughout the city.
Volunteer program updates- There are a few changes to the volunteer requirements for this coming Spring. Each family will pay a $100 refundable deposit when registering their player. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the season when volunteer verification has been completed. Please see our volunteer page for details on how you meet the volunteer requirements. We have added volunteer opportunities for various non-game related activates such as evals, FanFest, picture day, etc. You can register now for these positions to let us know you are interested. We will reach out as the event gets closer with details regarding available shifts and number of volunteers needed at each. We will communicate more details and opportunities as they arise through the next few months and as the season starts.
If you cannot meet the volunteer requirements, you can select to opt-out and you will not be refunded. YOU MUST SIGN UP THROUGH THE WEBSITE FOR YOUR REQUIREMENT TO BE COUNTED. You can do this at any time during registration and/or after registration as opportunities come up. Keep an eye on your email as we will communicate when non-field opportunities are posted.
50/70 Program- We are proud to announce we are launching a 50/70 division in the spring of 2023. 50/70 is geared for League Age 13 players as a bridge between Majors and Juniors. 50/70 refers to the mound distance and basepath length. These field dimensions allow for a more stepped development approach and allow players to be more successful when they make the jump to Juniors (60/90) as a league age 14.
We are excited to be able to offer 50/70 for the first time in league history and ask for your patient as we execute our plan. Know this division will provide a great opportunity for continued player development and growth.
