With great sadness, Folsom American Little League said goodbye to one of Folsom's most passionate youth sports advocates, Steve Scolini. Coach Steve passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 due to complications with the flu. Steve was 56 years old and is survived by his wife Robin of 31 years, daughter Alexandria, 28, son Nick, 24, and loving dog Griffey.
Coach Steve served on the FALL Board and managed and coached at all levels throughout
his eighteen year involvement with the league. He also coached at Vista Del Lago High School, scouted for Folsom Lake College, and worked at Hard 90 in El Dorado Hills, while taking two teams to New York for tournaments. Coach Steve's love of the game was shadowed only by his passion to make baseball a positive experience for all the
players he coached, managed, and mentored. Coach Steve not only had a passion for baseball but more for the youth of our community, developing them into baseball players but, most importantly, into good young men and women. Coach Steve, thank you for everything. You will be greatly missed.
